Robert Niven is an expert in the field of climate change mitigation. Mr. Niven has advised Canadian government and industrial clients on various climate change technology mitigation contracts. He also oversees the commercialization of a novel Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, CO2 Accelerated Concrete Curing. Prior to launching Carbon Sense Solutions, Mr. Niven earned valuable experience in various disciplines including technical consulting, science and technology R&D and industrial project management. His contributions to the climate change field have been recognized by invitations to present his research and perspective at numerous international conferences. He has also participated in the last three UN Climate Change meetings and the G8 Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF).

Mr. Niven holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Victoria and a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from McGill University

Dr. Green is the founder of Carmanah Technologies Inc. A professional engineer experienced in the management and operation of high-tech companies, Dr. Green has founded or was a founding member of Carmanah Technologies (1998), NxtPhase Corporation (1997), Carmanah Research (1993), Seastar Chemicals (1988), SDL Optics (1986), Axys Instruments (1982), Axys Analytical (1980), and Axys Environmental (1974).

Dr. Green has an engineering physics degree from the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. He is an acknowledged expert in light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a pioneer in the marriage of LED and solar power technologies. Dr. Green is the inventor of five patents in this field, which form the basis of many of Carmanah's products.

In June 2004, Dr. Green was the recipient of the VIATeC "Colin Lennox Award for Technology Champion," a lifetime achievement award recognizing the impact he has made to his regional technology sector. Dr. Green was recently awarded the 2007 Arbor Vitae Award by the British Columbia Minister of Environment for his outstanding personal contributions to environmental protection and stewardship.

Patricia Newson is President and CEO of AltaGas Utility Group Inc., a $65 million market capitalization holding company with investments in three utilities and related businesses, CEO of AltaGas Utility Inc. and Senior Vice President of AltaGas Income Trust, a $1.5 billion energy infrastructure trust. She was Senior Vice President Finance and CFO of the Trust from 1996 to May 2006.

Ms. Newson’s energy industry experience spans more than 25 years. She acted as Manager Strategic Planning at B.C. Hydro, spent several years as an independent consultant, led corporate and regulatory reporting with Gulf Canada and GW Utilities and worked in business development at Olympia and York Enterprises. She holds a B.Comm. (distinction) in accounting, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in Canada

, President of Inter-Cultural Development Innovations, has 27 years of experience in 40+ countries strategically developing and implementing over 175 multilateral projects, related to: climate change risk management (adaptation) & carbon development (mitigation), community economic development (CED), post-disaster infrastructure rehabilitation, and environmental sustainability. He has mobilized in excess of $19 million in public and private funds, via international project partnerships with IFIs, donor agencies, UN Dependencies, host countries, academia, industry, and IGOs/NGOs. Mr. Hayes has widely published and presented in multiple fora on the issue of climate adaptation & development. He is ISO 14064/65 GHG Emissions Verification Certified.

Phillip Knoll is the President of Knoll Energy, an energy infrastructure consulting company located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has over 27 years of varied experience in the energy sector, primarily related to energy infrastructure businesses. Mr. Knoll has held leadership roles at Duke Energy Gas Transmission, Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, Westcoast Energy Inc. and TransCanada Midstream. His specific areas of expertise include the development, acquisition, implementation and operation of businesses across the natural gas value chain. This entailed leading senior teams in the development and execution of strategic plans, as well as restructuring initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Knoll, is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the Technical University of Nova Scotia (PEng). He is currently on the board of Rally Energy Corporation, Heritage Gas Nova Scotia, Alta Gas Utility Group, Halifax Grammar School, and AIMS.
