Robert Niven is CEO and founder of Carbon Sense Solutions Inc. and CarbonCure Technologies Inc. Robert’s approach to business is to create innovative and effective greenhouse gas reduction projects with an emphasis on strategic partnerships that yield substantial economic benefits. His goal is to develop green business success stories that unlock new competitive advantages for our clients and to encourage others to take action.

Robert has introduced several innovations into the carbon management field. He is a pioneer in the creation of a new class of clean technologies for the built environment called Carbon Capture and Beneficial Reuse. He also specializes in developing strategies to enable ambitious carbon management projects for small businesses and large industry that have yielded over $5M in value.

Robert is an avid outdoors adventure enthusiast and supports wilderness conservation and youth environmental education programs. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Victoria.

A specialist in carbon finance, Jennifer has managed projects to raise $2.5 million in capital for clean technology projects and more than $5 million in new carbon revenues for clients through the sale of carbon offsets on voluntary carbon markets.

Jennifer has developed capacity-building activities to enable clients to monetize low-carbon projects and understand the opportunities and challenges of carbon markets. She has led numerous projects to provide clients with customized benchmarks, carbon measurement and monetization tools, and carbon offset strategies to meet international certifications.

She has participated in various local and international climate change events, including panel discussions at CleanTech East in Halifax and the UN climate change negotiations in Cancun in 2010. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University and Masters of Science and Business Administration from Dalhousie University.
